Celebrity Reflection introduced us to Celebrity in October 2024. We loved the food and discovered how much we enjoyed using the main dining room, even for meals we once would have taken at the buffet. Its relaxed atmosphere suited our family well enough that we booked a return for October 2026.

Fall Break 2024 aboard Celebrity Reflection
Celebrity Reflection made a very good first impression on us.
The ship felt nice, comfortable, and more upscale than some of the ships we'd previously sailed.
It wasn't about having the biggest slides or newest attractions. Reflection had a calmer atmosphere that encouraged us to slow down.
That turned out to be something we liked more than we expected.

The food was easily one of the highlights of our first Celebrity cruise.
We'd sailed enough by this point to have a pretty good idea of what cruise food was normally like, and Celebrity immediately stood out to us.
But the bigger discovery wasn't just that the food was good—it was the main dining room.
Before Reflection, we tended to think of the main dining room mostly as somewhere you went for dinner. On this cruise, we started realizing how much we enjoyed sitting down for a proper meal whenever it was available.
Breakfast? Main dining room.
Lunch when it was open? Main dining room.
Dinner? Definitely main dining room.
Instead of fighting through a busy buffet and searching for a table, we could sit down together, order our food, talk, and actually enjoy the meal.
Reflection changed the way we eat on cruises. Whenever the main dining room is open now, that's usually our first choice.

Entertainment on Reflection was a little different for us because one performer really stood out—a Brazilian piano player we absolutely loved.
Whenever we saw that he was playing, we tried to go listen to him. With Hellen being Brazilian, the music made those evenings especially enjoyable for us and became one of the things we remember most about our first Celebrity cruise.
We didn't necessarily find Celebrity's overall entertainment lineup as exciting as what we've experienced on some other cruise lines, but that piano player was the exception. Sometimes the entertainment you remember most isn't the big production show—it's finding a musician you love and making a point to come back every time they play.

Celebrity isn't the cruise line we'd choose specifically for family activities.
There were things available for Ollie, but family programming wasn't a major part of this cruise for us.
That's something we've continued to notice with Celebrity. The ships can absolutely work for our family, but they're very different from cruise lines built around water slides, huge kids areas, and nonstop family entertainment.
Surprisingly, we're okay with that.

The service was excellent and added to the more relaxed feeling of the cruise.
Eating in the main dining room more frequently also gave us more opportunities to experience Celebrity's service. Sitting down, ordering a meal, and having someone take care of everything became part of the vacation for us.
The overall experience felt polished without feeling overly formal.
Families who put good meals and a relaxed pace high on their list. For us, Celebrity is a place to slow down together, rather than a choice based primarily on nonstop activities.
